I finally got around to creating a connect item dealing with SQL Server not honoring default data/log file locations for new databases until the service is restarted here.
I encourage all to view it, and vote for it as you see fit.

Happy Holidays to all of the SSC threadizens and their families!Greg E
Right back at you and to everyone.
Yule just past, but Kris Kringle still has yet to visit and New Year's is just around the corner. I hope everyone is safe & secure through the Season.
Interesting. I always thought Yule synonymous with Christmas, but I guess not.

me too.
I noticed that someone voted against it, which I find incomprehensible - the current situation can only be described as a bug.

If you're referring to the "Call in the Experts" editorial: sure I did and it demonstrated how much more efficient an organization can be if people know what they don't know and, at least as important, know who to contact.

Do you mean the Queries for SSC Community Participation article?

Yes, I read it. Interesting, but I wonder what the numbers would look like if you condensed all the Part I, Part II ... Part N articles into single instances.

I think it would change slightly - but not enough to make a huge skew. Some of those multi-part articles really could be articles that stand on their own.
