I've been running a loop of "I love living in the city" by the Fear in my head for days now, so, I'd almost welcome the Star Wars theme, even the 70's disco version.
Have you ever heard the version of the Imperial March done by Metallica? If not, see if you can locate it. It's a very nice take on the theme, and I had a portion of it as a cell phone ring for a while.

Intersting. It seems Mangal Pardeshi is an MVP in SQL Server
http://www.microsoft.com/india/mvp/indiamvp.aspx#MangalPardeshi
Mangal is an E&TC Engineer from Pune University. He started his career as an ERP Technical Consultant in 2007. Currently he works as a BI Developer + SQL Server DBA in Business Insights Consulting, Pune. His core areas of expertise are Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence. He also possesses expertise in Database Administration, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and T-SQL. He is an active participant and moderator in MSDN SQL Server forum. He is also one of the top answerer in MSDN SQL Server Forums
Presumably in the MSDN forums people just give answers without trying to find out why.
Holly crap!! If THAT GUY is an MVP, why the hell didn't I ever make that list?
Looks to me like we need about another 2000 MVP nominations just from SqlServerCentral members!

It does seem to tarnish the honor a bit, doesn't it?

Anyone here has 2008 express installed and can test something for me, I don't want to waste a couple hours and risk wasting a perfectly good dev machine.
http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic668440-150-1.aspx
I need to know if 2008 express reporting services includes the gauges tools (also known as dundas pre 2008). I've made a report with a gauge on it. All you have to do is connect to msdb and run the report. If you see a gauge it worked... else I can,t help my client .

No offense, but if all that is required is put up a crappy blog with unverified recommendations, I can be an mvp in 7 days with 50$ out of pocket. This is just ridiculous.
It feels like there's no honor left after seeing that! I can't even begin to compare him to Jeff, Frank, Steve or any other REAL mvp that ever laid fingers on this community.

My guess is it's more the posting on MSDN forums than the blog.

I haven't started a blog yet because I haven't felt that I am really that qualified, even with all the posts I have had here on SSC.

It's out of my area of expertise, but I had a supervisor that told me that he kept me around for those 3 problems a year that the SysAdmin and the (pure) Programmer/Analyst couldn't resolve.

Great point... it's always hard to part with someone when they are the only ones who can get us out of tough situations!
