Got a WordPress question for those that do their own administration:Do you let it do automatic updates?
I would if I could. I have to go into the GoDaddy interface to run the upgrade (found that out after a week of trying to get the last upgrade installed).
I've had some updates install themselves with no problems, and others that don't seem to want to install even manually. I did my initial install of WordPress last week, version 3.0.2. Noticed last night that 3.0.3 is now out. Looks like this ride may be fun. :w00t:
All aboard!!!!! π

I just did the upgrade by clicking the upgrade button and it was nice and fast and simple. If they're all that easy I won't mind them upgrading frequently.

I'm gonna play it safe. I'm looking after 2 live blogs. I'll try the update on one that's not live yet first, just in case.

Hey guys, I don't see any threadizens on the list of submissions to SQLRally yet! What's taking y'all so long. There isn't any of you that shouldn't submit.Yeh volunteering to pay air fare? I already have one USA and one European trip planned, and that's just until April. $1500 for the USA flights, $1000 for the ones to Europe.
Okay those of you more than a 6 hour flight away are exempt, but what's the rest of y'all's excuses?
Sorry - I've been a bit busy lately. I can do a preso on diaper changing though if that would be ok:hehe:

I might still submit. I'm pretty focused on the precon so I'm not sure I want to try to prep an eighth hour of material. Heck, I'm not sure I've got another hour of material in me.
Don't you get a session during Thur/Fri already as a pre-con guy?
I might submit. Trying to decide if I can go, and then if this will impact TechEd.

Wait did you mean the National Association of SQL Administrators? Not a member of that either. π

Relatively sure every member of the Thread is in that association. They're old-school, and you're automatically opted-in at the request of any other member.

Never stop learning, even if it hurts. Ego bruises are practically mandatory as you learn unless you've never risked enough to make a mistake.

Didn't you know that? I knew going in that it would be there.

I still haven't seen any valid excuses...
Travel money, hotel money, earn money... I'd love to make the trip from Detroit to Florida this time of year but I just can't dedicate the money or the time especially since I paid my own way for PASS. π
