Are the posted questions getting worse?

May the turkey be tender and juicy and the people you're celebrating with be the ones you love and care about.

My very special wishes go to Jack: May Thanksgiving and the following holidays be silent and restful for you and your family!! Take care!

Should we point out that his view solution doesn't *just* give you the duplicates? 😉

    Yes - fire away!!!!!!!!!

I just ended up having to thump Joe over the head in another thread, too. I keep shoving the soapbox that Joe incites back under the couch, but it really wants to come out and play.

Craig - I thought about posting this over "there", but decided to keep this to us threadizens.

(Just gotta love how it starts out by talking about you-know-who!)

How very perfect... I love such sources of big, fat, juicy, pork chops! This is going to be fun in the future and, as they said on one of my favorite shows, "We put the 'f-u' in 'fun'".

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.

Thirded -- heading out for a couple of days to eat lots of turkey and pretty much do absolutely nothing!

Have a good holiday! (To those of you outside the US . . . well, have a good holiday, anyway! :-D)

See you guys back again on Monday!

Alvin, that's what you look like when you've had time to shave?!? 😀

But isn't that counterproductive regarding hunting season?

Depends on what I'm hunting. 😎

My word, Alvin... Why so serious?

    *ducks*

    I don't see no ducks. 😛

Hmm. Starting to remind me of the Arkansas 12th grade reading exam

Something must be seriously wrong with me if I don't find it funny at all.

Maybe some of you Americans can help me understand it.

I think you are confused - you should have said "right" instead of "wrong"!

Just heard IT supervisor say it's 110 degrees in the server room. Glad I don't have anything to do with server admin.

It must be nice to have a server room that cool (I assume you mean Fahrenheit degrees, not real ones).

Speaking of Joe... he's asking for help at http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic1026157-391-1.aspx

Don't have a good answer for that. My initial response would be go take some math classes at the local U.

    I couldn't resist... I posted a smart-a** reply.

    It could have been worse.

    I half-expected a Celko like response.

Alvin - how about posting over there something like "Isn't there an ISO standard for that? Why aren't you using it?"

So fed up with Celko, I just had to post a comment on his thread.

  • Happy Thanks giving to everyone who celebrates it..:-)

  • For those who may have missed it.

    Jeff Moden waxes poetic

    In days of old,

    When Knights were bold,

    And Windowing was not invented,

    He wrapped his code

    In a familiar mode

    And RBAR was prevented.

If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.
