Are the posted questions getting worse?

    Celko alarm . . .

    Excuse me?!?!?!?

    heh. It's Thanksgiving... but I still would recommend against feeding the troll. 😉 Also looks like he got his question answered in another thread and is using "proper" code that doesn't include a cursor now.

    In the end, that is very good news.

    Celko alarm . . .

    Excuse me?!?!?!?

    That sounds more like it. He must be getting healthy again.

    <rant>

    I have to get this out of my system.

    I'm sorry, folks, but I'm fed up with this a**hole. If everytime I see his name and the first thought that comes to my mind is "initiate damage control," then he has absolutely no business responding to anyone.

    I apologize for venting, but I'm fed up with his s**t.

    </rant>

    I found it frustrating too some while back. I decided it best to skip over his stuff for the most part and just respond in a positive manner. Afterall, we should be trying to help.

    Though, I admit that there are times that a sharp answer is the best method. That does not mean that every time you respond to a question it needs to be sharp - but use good judgement.

    I don't disagree that there are some cases that you need to hit someone over the head with a frying pan, but nothing pisses me off more than condescending people. "Your code is terrible"?!?!?!? Excuse me??? You think I'm going to take the advice of anyone who says that to me???

    I am at the point where I have absolutely zero respect for Celko. In my mind, he doesn't deserve any. He has done nothing to earn it.

    You are not alone in that sentiment. That is part of the reason I typically skip right over what he says and move on to the next person in the thread. I don't need that behavior bringing me down for any period of time.

    Yeah... just post "ignore Joe, it's his time of the month day", then go help the OP and ignore everything else from Joe.

    I just ended up having to thump Joe over the head in another thread, too. I keep shoving the soapbox that Joe incites back under the couch, but it really wants to come out and play.

    Ah, that wasn't exactly my point but thanks for the link. I had wondered where the official version hung out at. metadata-standards.org, 'eh? I don't think I'll link it... except maybe under the tag "The Enemy"? 😛

    Alright, so the ISO's not that bad, I just want to beat the Grinch over the head with the entire library at once sometimes. It's a nice to have, but really... who the hell cares other than the Engine developers?
