LOL! Yeah, I just bought two a couple of weeks ago (brings me to 3 on that list) - Kalen's and Grant's are the ones I picked up then. Which ones did you get?Got and read both already.
Robert's book on mirroring and the one on Assemblies
Interesting - those are the two or the three I would choose. I haven't done enough with mirroring to justify the purpose before, and wasn't aware of the assemblies book. The third one would be the service broker one - but again, I've not had much need for it so far.
The only others on that list I do not have are the ones by Steven Wort, Grant, Ross Mistry, and Bill Karwin.

Alvin, that's what you look like when you've had time to shave?!? π
But isn't that counterproductive regarding hunting season?

I was seriously considering the service broker one, but it would have more than doubled the total order price. Will pick that one up another time, another place.

LOL! True. Didn't consider that "alternative". Glad I'm in Europe. Might reduce the risk of "getting selected"... *shudder*

I like the WROX Press books. I'm in for 2 13 hour train rides this holiday and I'll be bringing the SSIS, SSAS and SSRS books along for some light reading.I'm all for continuing education but that's frightening. π
Last year it was ASP.Net 2.0 and VB.Net 2008.
I'll probably bring a history book or two, some SF books and short story collections and a science book or two as well in case I need a break.
SSIS should go quickly as I've already read the book and just want to re-read it now that I've been working with SSIS for awhile.
I'm flying home for Xmas. I'm looking at at least 12 hours each way. I expect to get my money's worth out of my Kindle on those days.
Back in the day when you were the chipmunk, I used the Joker Avatar that you are now using. Hmmm. ....
