I like the WROX Press books. I'm in for 2 13 hour train rides this holiday and I'll be bringing the SSIS, SSAS and SSRS books along for some light reading.I'm all for continuing education but that's frightening. π
Last year it was ASP.Net 2.0 and VB.Net 2008.
I'll probably bring a history book or two, some SF books and short story collections and a science book or two as well in case I need a break.
SSIS should go quickly as I've already read the book and just want to re-read it now that I've been working with SSIS for awhile.

When you encounter a problem, if the solution isn't readily evident go back to the start and check your assumptions.

I'm flying home for Xmas. I'm looking at at least 12 hours each way. I expect to get my money's worth out of my Kindle on those days.

I wish these books were available as eBooks. It is going to be a pain lugging them around.

Same here, but I used DBCC timewarp to take me back to when the posting worked. π

No, I don't. We've already agreed on that. (Of course, the very statement that I avoid humor here fits perfectly within my "state the complete opposite in an attempt at dry irony" form of humor, so that fits pretty well.)

A sense of humor? Noone here has one of those. We laugh (or at least chuckle) at Alvin's jokes, for example. Hm, maybe that's under the header of a 'sense of good humor'...
Seriously though, there's something going on today that Websense keeps trying to look for invasions from here today, but otherwise, it's been alright. Mostly. Bit slow on the 'post' button.
