If you were to buy a SQL book, what would you buy? If there is a topic you wanted to learn about, what is it? Is there a good book on the topics you want most to learn?

    http://www.amazon.com/lm/R3RB13PQ7D8TKB

    Got about half of them.

Good list. My underlying goal is to see if there is a topic not yet covered by a good book.

Make that almost 2/3 of the list (after one unplanned amazon visit)

I don't see a book on that list that covers DBCC TimeWarp. ๐Ÿ˜€

That would be fun - anybody want to write that back coauthor maybe?

I have about 1/3 of that list. I will be working on the rest of the titles before long. Thinking long and hard about studying.

I already did it five years from now, just use the 23rd parameter, and the 92nd, but invert it. I threw in an easter egg while I was in there.

Ouch. If it won't be until Feb, would it be more cost effective for you to wait for the MVP summit?

I like the WROX Press books. I'm in for 2 13 hour train rides this holiday and I'll be bringing the SSIS, SSAS and SSRS books along for some light reading. I'm also planning on getting this DMV book when it comes out.[/url] I saw a talk on DMVs by the author at the last SQL Saturday in Boston and I've been eagerly awaiting its release since then. Almost a year, I think.

Looks like most of the chapters are there for early access. I like the proposed concept.

Maybe, but I noticed that Amazon's 3rd party vendors had really good prices - $2.80 and $15.00 for books with a shelf price of $45+ each. Not taking the chance that it's limited time.

Shipping actually said sometime between 27 Dec and 27 Jan. Knowing SA post office and customs, I lean towards the latter.

Yeah, I like that the chapters are available and I'm excited that there seems to be just one left before the book is completed.

If I knew I could get all the WROX Press books and most other tech books in eBook format, I'd buy an eBook reader.

LOL! Yeah, I just bought two a couple of weeks ago (brings me to 3 on that list) - Kalen's and Grant's are the ones I picked up then. Which ones did you get?
