And here's a big ol' U.S. standard baseball bat.Jo. Bokken. Katana. Baseball bat.
Decisions, decisions....
I'm an American, so I have no first-hand knowledge of this, but I've heard a cricket bat is really the best for this kind of thing.
I say go with the bokken and say you're just practicing. The real stuff will come later. 😀 :w00t:
Cricket bat is good at whacking the back side because it has a broader "blade". But quite effective. Using a field hockey stick is much effective. You can use it to pull the PM closer and then give him what he deserves.. 😀
I think a caman would be better than a field hockey stick (designed to be used both backhand and forehand, and to collect ball and throw it as well as bat it, unlike hockey stick); in fact a caman in the right hand and a nunchaku in the left might be a good combination.

No Santa Claus? Guess I'll have to settle for a WHERE clause. 😛Okay, where's that baseball bat??? 😛
I thought it was a bokken bokken?
This whole line of thought reminds me of a family story. A duck and golf club are at the heart of the story.

Doesn't say much for my mood that I slightly enjoyed posting that last message there. Wrong, I know.
That's it. We're cancelling Christmas for you two.
Just as long as my birthday's not cancelled too. That would be unbearable.
You mean you want to be a year older?

I'd be a year older anyway (unless someone's planning on rolling back 2010), I just wouldn't be able to celebrate it.

Nah, we would never cancel your birthday.... just scale it back a bit.

Perfect solution!
Go for it, Gail! Run the DBCC Timewarp again. Maybe that'll fix the project from hell too.

If your birthday's next week I'll eat my hat. Or the remains of my finger.

Your hat is safe. 2 and a half weeks away.
p.s. What's special about next week?

It's a 3 day work week for many of us in the US. Thanksgiving is on Thursday.

...It's a 3 day work week for many of us in the US. Thanksgiving is on Thursday.
Brings back memories... A huge turkey, so tender I can't forget, served to a group of like 20 people where one person would have met not more than 3 others before. People from all over the globe. Dinner hosted by a very generous professor at the university I was at that time.
I consider it a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
I hope you folks in the U.S. will have the following Friday as well as the weekend off and you'll have a wonderful weekend with your friends and family!!!!

That's the plan. Plus I'm taking Wednesday off - at my grandkids school, the day before Thanksgiving is "Grandparents Day" where we can visit the kids in their classes, etc.
