Who throws a can of soda out of a car? That's insane. Almost makes you want to hook up a camera and 10 min loop of video, recording what happens around your car.

I got hit by a boat about 20 years ago, while riding my bike. Guy was weaving a little and the side bumper on his boat (towed) hit my elbow while I was riding my bike alongside the road.

I tried to catch him, but couldn't. I didn't fall, but I was seeing red.

I got hit by a taxi in NYC... of course, I was illegally skateboarding the wrong way down the street at the time... No injury, just tore up my leather jacket a bit.

I was in a Valencia, Venezuela about 20 years ago when a crazy bum in a plaza asked me for some money. I refused because I didn't have any. He ripped apart a soda can, sharpened it on the sidewalk then threatened to stab me with it. He scared the hell out of me so I took off running and went straight into a side street without looking both ways. Thats when a station wagon doing about 20 mph hit me. I jumped into the air at the moment that I realized I was going to be hit by a car. I took a direct hit to my hip, rolled onto the hood and shattered the windsheild. The only damage I took was a really nasty bruise to my hip.

...btw not so long ago, I had a bird strike whilest riding my bike. It hit me on top of my helmet, right above the vizor. It was a blackbird that crossed my path. I was lucky that it didn't hit my during a curve, or I would for sure have ended up on the side. It was a hell of a noise and a shock to the neck for me (sencible for a couple of hours). The bird didn't make it.

For my helmet is was a spot of bird chalk.

I bet you were glad you were wearing your helmet, imagine the damage without it. Glad you were ok.

He - I got run off the road last night by a woman driving an SUV. She tried to pass me on the shoulder and then started to move in towards me. She got past me and started weaving in and out of traffic aggressively.

Then I realized it would contain at least as much self-incrimination as anything else, and decided not to....

You know, I just love your .sig. It's beautiful. @=)

    Whose are you talking about?

mtillman-921105's .sig. "I failed the Turing Test."

Thanks Brandie. 'Stole that off of a t-shirt I saw recently.

Just remember, hitting the same spot over & over can be bad. Try <headwall><headwall> or <headsink><headsink> just to mix things up.

But seriously, sorry to hear that bad situation is spiralling. Good luck.

And if that doesn't work, try banging somebody else's head against the wall/desk/sink ....

    Sorry to hear that too.

I thought I felt a slight earthquake, but I guess it was just Gail trying to gain composure without killing someone.

Let's hope that if the tremors get stronger, someone else's head is doing the banging.

  • Thought you might like some statistics. Someone asked me, so....

In terms of total points (as of about 15 minutes ago), on the overall list

    #100 - 2,303 points

    #50 - 2,884 points

    #500 has 1076

    Didn't sum below 500 people.

    Kind of interesting numbers.
