Are the posted questions getting worse?

Hey gang... not definite yet, but my wife is talking about letting me spend the $ to go to PASS. πŸ˜€

Any suggestions on good, inexpensive, close places to stay? Guys to share a room with? Are any discounts still available? It's looking like it's going to cost us about $3k... does that seem about right to you'll?

I might could do with a room-mate for the week.

  • TSQL Tuesday Post is done and in - even early. I found some interesting articles on the internet that perpetuated the myth too. I didn't reference them in the TSQL2sday post, but there is bad info out there. Post was simple and sweet - keeping it to the point. I probably missed a bunch on it - but I wanted to debunk at the base level.

Tell me about it. The mass of misinformation I found on table variables was frightening. That I found a disprovable myth stated as truth on an MSDN blog didn't help.

Terrifying. Maybe I will experience some of the humour later, but for now, I'm just plain scared.

    All together now.........

    Y - M - C - A...............

Yuck. I stayed at the Y in New Orleans for an endocrine conference back in '89. It was disgusting, roaches and used needles everywhere. Norlinz was gorgeous back then, but no, not the Y.

$3k is about right at this point. You can do it for less by finding a cheaper hotel and roommate.

    A cheaper room-mate?

Hey! I may be cheap, but I'm not easy!

That's OK. I've got both bases covered.

My first though, on reading this link, was "OMG".

Well, I just found one good use for this URL... I'm going to use it as a Q&A at the end of my presentation, to see if the attendees of the presentation now know what the proper answer is. Now, to incorporate it...

The humour side of it (well, for me anyway) is that anyone using that for interviews has likely done themselves more harm than good.

Unless the interviewer provided one of those answers...:pinch:

    Yikes.

If that is the case, I wonder if they pad the voting too?:-P

Let's see - do I make it seem like the most correct by lots of YES votes...

Or make it have NO votes to see how much they know?

Good use for the site might be to have an interviewee comment on a thread like that.

Do you snore? I actually don't want your opinion on that... ask your wife. Do you snore? πŸ˜‰

She says yes - a little bit louder than heavy breathing.

Just remembered that I'm also scheduled to give my presentation to my UG on that Thursday....

No pun intended, but I'll have to pass then. I'm a super light sleeper. Yeah... it's been a problem all my life and was really tough in the service.

I agree... there should be a bio-hazard warning on that site. I can see someone using it as a source of questions but not many of the answers.
