Hey gang... not definite yet, but my wife is talking about letting me spend the $ to go to PASS. πAny suggestions on good, inexpensive, close places to stay? Guys to share a room with? Are any discounts still available? It's looking like it's going to cost us about $3k... does that seem about right to you'll?
Do you snore? I actually don't want your opinion on that... ask your wife. Do you snore? π
She says yes - a little bit louder than heavy breathing.
Just remembered that I'm also scheduled to give my presentation to my UG on that Thursday....
Snoring doesn't really matter as you shouldn't plan on sleeping much, especially if you are an east coaster. Last year I slept about 4hours a night (1am- 5am) between hanging out with people and waking up at my normal east coast time. My roommate slept even less than that.

I think the Red Lion(?) hotel is fairly inexpensive and close by (walking distance). I think Gail has stayed there.
I have, but it's hardly a cheap hotel. It's one of the summit hotels and they're all expensive.
Consider something like the 6th Ave Inn, a bit further away but significantly cheaper (like 1/3 of the summit hotels)

Note that the new light rail from the airport is up and running. Not sure where it stops, but there might be hotels along its route that are cheaper.

If you can do it to a bagel, can you also do it to a donut? Or do they fall apart too easily? I'll have to find out now ....

You might be able to with some donuts.
This would be hard to do with the bagels I've been getting lately because the hole is often very small.

I think most people would just see that as a mish-mosh-messed up bagel.

Not likely to annoy this spouse (seeing that this spouse is a fan of M.C. Escher). However, if the last garlic bagel is used or the last chocolate-covered donut... then there just might be a war declared! :w00t:

They've changed their name. Now they're just "The Y".
Makes the song kind of awkward though.

$3k is about right at this point. You can do it for less by finding a cheaper hotel and roommate.
A cheaper room-mate?
