it's that whole theory about how time-travel is impossible because once it's possible, you'll inevitably change things in such a way that the timestream it was invented in won't be possible.

Darnit. Is that why my homemade TARDIS won't work?

Is your scarf the right length and colors?

To heck with traveling space and time, I'd settle for the extra living space it'd give me.

I have a big floppy hat and a velvet frock coat. Does that count? @=)

Actually, I don't but on a serious note: 17 feet long and yes, my Mom used the actual pattern when she knitted it back in the '80s. Not the maroon version. The original mustard and dark green version.

Now that was a scarf for keeping warm during midwestern winters! Unfortunately, all it does in Florida is sit in the closet. @=(

You're an SF author, yes? Don't you go to cons?

Alas, as a grown up, I have little discretionary income and many bills. Truthfully, it's only been recently that I had enough funds to start doing traveling at all.

EDIT (Obligatory Sales Pitch): Of course, if people here would start buying Blue Kingdoms pirate books from Amazon.com, I could go to more cons. Thanks for bringing up the subject, Stefan. @=)

    LOL, anytime.

I'd been intending to ask at some point as I do go to a number of cons, mostly in the NE US + WorldCon any year it isn't in Australia (too far) or Reno (Really? Reno? What, Gary and Camden were booked?) and was wondering if I'd end up meeting you at one of them.

The TARDIS sitting on my desk is working just fine.

I'm going to BotCon next June and intending on WorldCon this year (Move aside blackjack players. Here I come!). Not sure if I'll make GenCon (Catalyst will be there) or DragonCon.

I've been wanting to go to GenCon for years, never made it. Should be more likely now that it is in Indiannapolis, especially since I've gone to Origins and that's just over in Columbus. Sadly, there's a limited amout of vacation every year. : -(

I thought the next version of SQL was going to be 2011. Are they beta testing 2300 already????? 😛

I did a Google search and I found a reference to and error with HP server running Win 2003 in a cluster.

Google also returned this item: http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic1000853-20-1.aspx

How's that for search engine performance???? 🙂

Edit: The link I posted is now broken, but it was one of the multiple post about the QL2300 error.

That really is a terrible one. I've stuck my oar in, but I don't believe it will do any good.
