Are the posted questions getting worse?

Okay Tom and Bob, I think that is enough. Just agree to disagree and let's move on.

And no, I'm not going to check out the link in that thread nor will I make a comment there either.

Nothing to see here, move along.

Shouldn't that be Bob and Tom?

  • I thought it was Bob and Ray.

    Moving along now, Lynn.

Apologies to all for dragging this into the Thread. I should have let it go.

  • I guess I should use pm and not the thread if I want to start that sort of discussion. Sorry.

    1) Columbus thinks it is a southern town. It snowed one year around 8 inches and it paralized the city.

If it ever snows in JHB such that there's snow on the roads after sunrise, I will stay at home until it thaws.

    2) Water anywhere near a road, other than in a proper river-like container, causes people to drive as slow as they can either a) 'cause they're scared it'll get near their car or b) so they can see such a strange phenomenon.

Rain's fine here. We drive the same way in is as when it's dry.

Note that JHB rain is (from what I've heard) like the midwest - torrential thunderstorms that limit visibility to metres quite often.

I've often been passed by a car doing twice my speed when, due to the rain, I could barely see the car ahead of me. And people wonder why there's a high death-toll on our roads...

Gail, 'scuse me for being nosey...but what on earth is picture 1? It looks like sunrise through half a dungbeetle or horseshoe crab. Well cool.

Me having fun with (what was then) a new camera. It's a candle holder, a dragon holding two candles, one in each hand. There was a power failure that night so I lit the candles to see my way around, then played with the camera a bit - shutter speed, aperture, ISO - to see what kind of shots I could get.

    Unfortunately not. ๐Ÿ˜‰

That was also during a power failure. I have 2 UPSs for the computer, TV, xbox and ADSL modem, but only candles for light.
