Anyone want to take this one up? http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic984249-9-1.aspx I've so far been shouted at and told how I should be helping, and I'm about out of patience and running out of ways to say the same thing.Holy crud. That one is a walk-away. I'm not paid enough to put up with that. Wait, I'm not paid to up with that.
Listen helper. You can't walk away. "A helper is supposed to assist by providing sample coding instead of saying it's UP TO YOU ...... " :Whistling:

The phrase "With friends like that who needs enemies" comes to mind.

Gail, you might want to bring a certain piece of steel with you if you go revisit that BIT datatype thread.

That OP is now on my ignore list.
Edit: I took a look at that OP's posts. On 8/24 he posted something that indicated that he's been asked to do something that should be done by the DBA who is on 3 months leave. After reading his posts, it's obvious that he's not familiar with SQL. Somebody needs to go slap this guy's boss.

Mine too. This was the clincher (To Alvin)
Once I got it working I will post the solution here for others like you who doesn't know about it.
Steve, intervention time?

Seems like Paul got it working. ((s)he seems to really like large fonts.) IMO, this is someone that is an extreme newby in SS being tasked to do stuff in the dba's absence. I kinda sense an ESL thing might be going on here also... So, let's try to be patient here.

Patience, yes, but that poster needs an attitude adjustment. Go back through their older posts.

I think part of his problem, on top of his poor communication skills, may be that he's being asked to do somethiing that he does not know how to do and he's not ready to admit. Disrespecting the people that are trying to help is not a winning move.
