... with the possible exception of Alvin's singing. 😛Beer helps that too.
If you drink enough beers, then my singing will start to sound better. 😀

I should know in Oct if I can come. I'd like to. Allen is typically my roommate at places like the MVP Summit, so I'd like to go see him if I can.
If you guys are both going to be there, I'll definitely have to drive up. Feb in Cleveland, interesting timing, but it would be worth getting to meet yous guys. (and bit and whomever else is there)

I'll let you know. There's the Phoenix SQL sat as well, and my wife might be traveling again in Feb, so I should know soon if she's in town so I can travel.

Jason, dialed into the S3oLV meeting tonight, absolutely phenomenal stuff from Stacia Misner on PowerPivot. Are all the meetings like that? 😉 Think I asked more questions over LiveMeeting than the attendees did.
Steve, I'll dial in for your presentation in November too.
Wow, just blown away with what this will do for my current job responsibilities....now to get users asking for it to put pressure on IT.
And, since it's almost tomorrow now, time for my nightly 5-hour nap before work tomorrow! (*ahem - School Sucks when you have to work fulltime)

Thank you - glad you enjoyed it. We have been pretty lucky of late (Jack, then Grant, and this month Stacia - she's a local).

Sounds interesting! Where can I find out more? (sorry I don't already know and missed it even if it may have been obvious... I've been in a "fog" because of work and a whole bunch of presentation development).

Twitter is a lot like The Thread, only moving at a slightly faster pace. You can sign up and just follow people, not posting yourself.
It would be cool if the Thread came alive and started Tweeting itself. I guess it would cut everything off after 140 characters each post.
When that happens, I vote we rename the Thread to HAL. :w00t:
Heh... To Hal with that idea. 😉
Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do. ..... 😎
The Thread is so much more sophisticated than that. I think it should be named Collosus.

If you're talking about the chapter stuff, http://www.sssolv.com/[/url], supposedly they'll be posting the slide deck and the meeting was recorded, so I'm assuming it will be uploaded too. Some technical difficulties, but even still, I'm planning on getting my team together and watching the whole two hours. Not only explained PowerPivot clearly, but was a whole discussion on WHY it exists, and how it can help. I kept finding myself nodding vehemently and saying "Thank you, somebody gets it" over and over.
If you meant the tool itself, there's the link above, and Stacia suggested www.powerpivotpro.com, which I haven't had a chance to check out. Also Mark Tab[something] (www.marktab.net) did a presentation on Data Mining using SSIS/PowerPivot for BI VC which was really good, I'm waiting for that one to be posted too.

I'm not reading as much as I should, especially technical stuff. Right now in a professional development/leadership groove so I've read Tribes, Crunch Time (reviewed on my blog), and now Visioneering by Andy Stanley. I did manage to read a novel over the holiday weekend and started another. Need to read more, but usually too tired and fall asleep while doing it:doze:
