Sorry about the confusion, folks. PASS is still setting things up. I posted the site link as soon as it was available. I'll let you know as soon as the email is active.Allen White

Heh... I posted 2 sessions as soon as the site was available and needed a bit of information... like... what do you recommend for hotels in the nearby area and how do I sign up for the "post event get-together". Also, can I pay my $10 when I get there (I don't trust the site with all the info they're asking especially since they can't even get the email right) and why didn't I get two notices for session registration? Also, I got a "Registration" confirmation even after I bailed out on the $10 paypal page and I wanted to confirm whether I'm registered or not.

SQLSaturday is still transitioning from Andy and I to the PASS group and they're learning. Getting a new email setup for each event is a logistical issue for them right now. I'm sure it will get ironed out.Jeff,
If you're heading to Cleveland, I might need to go out as well. Timing could work for me, though the Super Bowl might be an issue. Coming home and watching it on TV will net me a few hours of shoveling time.
No pun intended but that would be very cool! I'm going whether I present or not (never been to one of these before). I'll take about the same time to fly as to drive so I'm driving... I'll just need to watch the weather so I can get in early if it looks like snow is in the forecast.
If it doesn' work out for you, we'll have to schedule up another one somewhere.

I should know in Oct if I can come. I'd like to. Allen is typically my roommate at places like the MVP Summit, so I'd like to go see him if I can.

Twitter is a lot like The Thread, only moving at a slightly faster pace. You can sign up and just follow people, not posting yourself.
It would be cool if the Thread came alive and started Tweeting itself. I guess it would cut everything off after 140 characters each post.

When that happens, I vote we rename the Thread to HAL. :w00t:

I don't like to rush things. I'll probably arrive before rush hour on Friday, have a nice dinner, practice the session(s) one more time and to make sure nothing broke, and get a good night's sleep. Even if there were no get together afterwards, I'd still stay Saturday night and drive home at a leisurly pace on Sunday. If I were actually interested in the Super Bowl, I'd still be home in time for the day's festivities.

Well don't plan on practicing Friday night. We usually have some speaker's dinner, and I'm sure you'll want to have a beer then. :hehe:

Beer helps that too.
If you drink enough beers, then my singing will start to sound better. 😀
