OK, I'm off to hit the chores, cut grass ... normal horse stuff. Now wait just a bloody minute... I though that's what the horses were for! 😉 Please don't tell me you're buying summer hay for them. :hehe:
I always thought it was goats that sbstituted for grass cutters, with sheep as a poor alternative. Unlike sheep and goats (which will happily crop grass very short indeed), horses don't do very well if you limit their feed to a meadow so small that they have to close-crop it to avoid going hungry.

The horses do graze some down, but they're not consistent, and they'll eat to the roots, so it destroys the growth. We rotate them around the 4 areas we have, giving them a few weeks on each, and locking them on a track for periods as well.
I try to cut the 35 acres once a year, and it knocks down Yuccas, cleans out some weeds, and lets the grass grow through better. Plus it looks nice 🙂
Takes me about 40 hours to knock it down once, I'm doing about 20-30 minutes a day lots of days, a couple hours on the weekend.
Hope to be done before snow comes down.

Steve .. is your place north or south of Denver? I used to travel to and from the old Denver (Stalpeton) airport to Pubelo failry frequently, passing that old Army base used for chemical warfare storage..and the Air Force Academy ....
Loved the fact that the snow did not melt but rather sublimed under the sunlight .. that was fascinating to me ..

If your "holiday" is anything like mine, then you need another one to recover from it! ..... oh wait... I'm thinking vacation.

If it isn't too late, try to catch Red Rocks. It's amazing.

Do you suppose 5 minutes to return one row of data will be too much for end users? 😛
Now I just have to figure out what the hell I did to that query...

If you're working for a government project: not at all. You might even need to add a WAITFOR clause... :-D;-)
It is essential to allow government staff to prepare themselves for the answer to the question they carefully typed into the PC over the last couple of days.... 😀

Red Rocks is great. Saw John Mayer there a couple years ago. Need to go back for a concert.

It sure is. 'A bit of a climb, but it's worth it.

As long as you enjoy it, feel free to do so... 😀
I thought about getting more and more sarcastic but it seems like I'm learning not to.
So, actually, I'm learning something at the moment. I just don't know what it is yet....
But since Saint Lynn took over I can safely step back and watch him taking care of it.
