Are the posted questions getting worse?

Looks like the posting is slowing down. People must be be getting ready for the long weekend.

The next 90 minutes are gonna go by real slow.

Still going strong here. Just took a break to run and sink two posts in the ground for a gate. Now back to work!

Some days I would prefer the fence type of work.

    Same here

  • It is a nice break during the day. Course, I've spent 20 minutes out there 3 nights in a row with a bucket of water trying to soften clay and dig down.

Today was just set the posts, dump in some semi-mixed cement, and plumb things. Real work will be Sun or Mon when I have to get a gate in there.

Well, I hope you're not trying to fence in any Border Collie mix puppies! :w00t:

Let me guess... It'll be a Red Gate, right? πŸ˜€

I dunno - I think that digging is the harder work sometimes. We have clay filled dirt with boulders

  • No, no red gates. Not unless they pay for it! πŸ˜›

My wife bought green last time.

Digging is easy here. I have an auger on the tractor. It does the work. I just have to pour the water, wait, then crank up the motor again

Cheater - but given the chance, I would not dig another fence post hole by hand

  • The Dixie Flatline (9/3/2010)

My son and daughter are both grown and living in Dunedin, about 5 or six hours drive south and west of the quake. They felt a shock there strong enough to make her think someone was trying to break into her flat. Hopes and prayers out to anyone who has family in the area.

It seems worse than at first reported:

  • I will dig a few by hand at times, but not often. I did, however, pound in 20 T-posts into the ground by hand over the last month.

Good job on the scheduling, Steve. Very neat.

    Thanks.

Look for Mr. White's optimizer series over the next few weeks.

The series will be an outstanding addition to the collection of outstanding articles on an outstanding site. Thank you both for taking the time.

Not a DBA, never been a DBA. Should I leave now?

    ...

Just kidding folks. We ALL need to stay! We can all contribute, and we can all learn. πŸ™‚

I know most people know I was joking in my original post, but in case you didn't get it, I was joking. I'm impressed at the number of non-DBAs who frequent the boards and know what the heck they're talking about.

    Y'all rock!

Heh... too funny. 30 Years ago, saying "You rock" was calling someone a highly derogatory name ("dumb as stone" is what it equated to). Now it’s a high compliment. Geek and hacker traded places from the early days, as well. Geek used to be bad (very, very bad) and hacker used to be good.

By the way, if you don't really know what a Geek is, look the word up in the dictionary and see why it used to be a highly uncomplimentary term. I will warn you that you shouldn't actually lookup that definition if you're squeemish at all. My friend's wife actually threw up when she read it.

I'm not surprised, I think we have more and more hybrid people.
