Are the posted questions getting worse?

Is it me, or are the posted questions getting worse these days?

I don't know if they're getting worse, but they're not getting much better.

Yes, I just quoted a post that's almost 2 years old. After reading 2 other posts that were older, I just couldn't help myself. :Whistling:

Any chance this thread will breach 20,000 posts by the second anniversary?

Just a wee bit over 2000 to go to get it by 11/18 - 2.5 months is definitely doable, especially when we nearly hit 100 some days.

To do this, I think we'll need to convince Grant to put his hiatus from posting on this thread on hold until after then! 😀 :w00t:

Yep, I remember posting something about that before the anniversary.

  • Was August the month for SHRINKDATABASE and SHRINKFILE? The forums appeared to have these through them like a stick of sea-side rock for the past month.

I'm surprised Gail's link about shrinking databases hasn't become the number 1 Google hit, with the number of times she's had to post it.

  • It's about halfway through the year, when record sets are getting bigger and bigger (for those who are doing YTD transactional storage). So, I can see August being just the right month for a lot of those posts to show.

On the other hand, I wonder what other monthly trends there tend to be. Is there a trend for disaster recovery posts in a certain month? Or string parsing posts in another?

    Shrinking databases. Hit statistics:

    May 2010: 130

    June 2010: 149

    July 2010: 115

    August 2010: 186
