Anyone want to help an apparent newbie to create a critical, large database?http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic975128-1292-1.aspx
If he's doing this for my bank, then I'm changing bank! :w00t:
Hah! Read my reply there!
Your response there was so good, for the first time ever, I read a set of posts to my wife. She laughed and laughed. Well done.
Agreed - it was a good response.

Shhh, all this talk about NZ might get my wife talking about making me take her on a plane for 18 hours. Yikes! :w00t:Send her by herself. 😛
That's an expensive way to commit suicide...

I saw that from Brent. Paul is garnering lots of respect from the other gurus. We need to get Paul out here in the US for some event 🙂That'd be great! I actually wouldn't mind getting to NZ to see him speak. I can't afford it, but it would be nice.
I went to NZ in April from Houston. Round trip to Auckland was less than $1300 - Air New Zealand has some great deals this year. Hotels are reasonably priced, and it's a great place to visit. Highly recommended.
So, we could all go visit Paul. ROAD TRIP!!!!! 😀
Slightly scary idea

No time like the present - especially when it means getting access to additional tools that could help you in the community. 😀

@Jeff. I never set up the netmeeting. I am going to see how that can be done.
When you figure it out, send me an email and then let's do an actual test well before the meeting. Drat... I've gotta go out and get a decent microphone.

Made me think of the new Air New Zealand safety video:
My wife is suddenly more interested in our flight out there in February and wants to know if every flight comes with rugby players.
For those in the States that thinks it's a long flight, on the way back we leave NZ Tuesday afternoon and arrive in LA Tuesday morning - you can't get much shorter than that!

I believe Richie McCaw and Ma'a Nonu are now a standard feature in Business Class 🙂
Anyway, if you think that's bad, the following illustrates why there are generally more females than males watching All Blacks games these days:

I have this one. It's slightly sensitive, but I like the physical mute button and it's comfortable. Plus USB works great
However I think most $20 mics work fine.

I think he's doing an excellent job, from my point of view 😀
Though if you could arrange things so you beat the Aussies comprehensively this weekend, that would be perfect.

I have this one, http://www.amazon.com/Plantronics-Audio-Behind-Head-Headset/dp/B000XUVOMA/ref=sr_1_24?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1282834309&sr=1-24, and it works pretty well. I've used it for a couple of Live Meetings and recording a video for SQLShare.

Plantronics makes some good mics/headsets that are of good quality and comfortable. If the issue isn't price, I would recommend getting the Plantronics model of whichever mic or mic/headset combo you go for. Plantronics products have been very good to me.
