Shhh, all this talk about NZ might get my wife talking about making me take her on a plane for 18 hours. Yikes! :w00t:
Just send her, alone, the wrong way... making it a 50 hours flight.
Might make a good argument not to go, or make her a widow, you never know! :hehe:

She probably would go without me for a month. Guess who gets shovel duty? :hehe:

OP was complaining about PK violation while uploading text file using SSIS.
Someone replied with:
How do you get a PK violation?
Are you inserting the PK values yourself?
Please remind me, again, why we're not allowed to slap someone.

So many people are used to Identity fields being used as PKs that they forget that PKs don't HAVE to be Identity fields. In fact, with the frequency of Ident use, it wouldn't surprise me to find a business that doesn't have PK Clustered Indexes on other columns but the Identity field.

It crossed my mind after I posted my comment that he might be confusing PK with Identity.

There are still people out there who really want to use "natural keys" for everything.
They're frequently ints kept somewhere in a spreadsheet.
Also, there are programs that let the program create the id, simulating IDENTITY.

FWIW, my friend is a licensed pilot and an aviation buff, so it probably doesn't bother him!

Ha!
And this is the "improved" site. Don't forget that.
I went to register my Live account to this and it wouldn't let me. So I created a new account. They spotted it and fixed it. First place I've ever seen do that. Heck, I've still got at least three accounts with PASS (after talking directly to their web geek). So, it's not ALL bad.

I need to extract my PASS Chapter member list for something. Can't do that. It won't work for me.
I need to send out the invitation for tomorrow's .NET user group meeting. Can't do that. I'm not the one that normally does this, but since the others can't log in I was going to give it a try.
Right now, new and improved, you FAIL!

I don't want to get a contact list out, I want to get a contact list in. Can you do that?
