I'd say you were in high school between 1974 and 1977. Am I close?
Even worse 🙁
I graduated high school in 74. I played briefly in one D&D campaign but worked two jobs in college and played a lot of chess and poker to supplement my income. So I really didn't have enough time, and I worried that I could become an addict.
I got back into gaming for a couple of years when my son was in junior high and discovered MAGIC, the Gathering, which was an absolutely brilliant game for people who enjoy building and working with complex systems. (Tap 2 Plains and sacrifice Holy Pork Chop of Antioch, targeting ID10T)
I graduated 77, so I wasn't so far off.

Okay, How many of you out there have gotten AARP membership invitations in the mail in the last year??
I've received one, but it wasn't in the last year, and it was definitely an error. I got it about a week before my 25th birthday (which was quite a long time ago).
Just to take any mystery out of that, I turn 40 on the 14th of next month.

All-night, drunken D&D at the next PASS?I'd have to show up for that. I might not live through it, but what the hey...
Is that before, after, or during, the interview sessions?
Yes.

Yep, pretty soon I'll be getting the Honored parking at Shari's...
Seriously, it came as quite a jolt to get the AARP membership application in the mail. Makes me think I might not actually get that novel finished if I don't step it up a little.
You guys might like it. It's about this kid, whose parents were killed in a mysterious manner, and he finds out he's a wizard and ... what?
Aww rats....

I got mine in December and my wife signed me up. I don't actually turn 50 until August.

Not to change the subject, but back away now before you get sucked in deeper. I'll even let you stay in my desert hiding place if you want.

I'm bored right now. A little mental pain and suffering at that guy's hands is a welcome distraction at this point. 🙂
I don't expect to accomplish anything with it. I'm just ... I don't know ... engaging in morbid curiosity as to whether he understands anything at all?

I don't think I want to give away date of birth. I might get something thrown at me. 😀
Never played AD&D. I started with 3rd edition.

Let me guess, let's say around early 30's. Say right around the time I graduated high school. Close??
