The guy next to me used to work for microsoft while working for the kgb.

You never know who is really a spy or not.

Hey, guys can be spies too! (Sorry, Lynn. Gender reversal's been happening to me too lately, and I shouldn't have assumed.)

  • Great.... after a couple of months go by, I'll forget and ask "Hey, whatever happened to Lynn."

    "Lynn?"

    "Lynn, who?"

    "There is no such person."

"There never was such a person."

    "We're not having this conversation."

Then comes a knock at the door in the middle of the night..... :smooooth: :ermm:

It is all based on change. Going into a new position with a new company. I have some idea of what I am walking into, but things could change easily. One change is going to be also working with Oracle as well. Definately going to be learning new things.

Good luck. What industry is the new company in? (if you can say)

Wow, Honeywell is hiring a database guy. Based on the databases I've seen behind Honeywell products you are the first.

Since when do spies knock on the door? I thought they just broke in / snuck in and took what they wanted.

  • You all are making the job a whole lot cooler than it probably really is, COOL!

I'll still be around SSC, probably more in the evenings outside of work. Should have more time to work on things like articles, research, the "MCJ" cert, and other things.

Speaking of the "MCJ", we really need to get working on this one!

  • Since when do spies knock on the door? I thought they just broke in / snuck in and took what they wanted.

    Shhhhhh....

"They" are monitoring all communications now, and "they" know where we live...

Hey, maybe the self-aware Thread of the future used DBCC Timewarp to go back and acquire Honeywell, and hire Lynn to accelerate its evolution!! Or maybe rebels from the future are doing it to try to put a stop to The Thread before it exceeds a googolplex of posts!!

I smell a novel, or at least a screenplay. There's money to be made here.

    (Has anyone else seen "Inception"?)

Hmmm. I was thinking Terminator. Not worried about monitored communications - I wear a pork chop choker.

That was all really top secret. Hippo was really code for Honeywell.
