Cynical indeed, though advanced education in CS doesn't necessarily mean that you know how to do anything in production.
Agreed, but it should indicate the ability to think and reason things out without having to have your hand held all the time.

Maybe someone here helped him get a passing grade when he had to do a database development project. If so, it's karma coming home to roost. 😛

This thread has been really busy the past two days...:D

First, I agreed with you. Second, that's WHY this thread has grown so much and is so popular.
We all need a place to vent and who better to do that with then friends (anybody else hearing the theme song from Cheers?).

Venting is always good.
Hey Steve, please don't take my rants too seriously, even if I sometimes forget to put smileys in. Despite the curmudgeonly text, I'm always smiling when I post to this thread.
I agree with Lynn too. Despite the fact that I've never met you all, I like you a lot.

I think serious-ness departed this thread long ago.
A long, long time ago, in a post far, far away....

There is still an undercurrent of seriousness. It's just being layered over with healthy humor. :hehe:
Be happy. You've helped create a community!

No, I'm enjoying the show. I'll dive back in a bit, maybe. Also, it's possible my bozo bit got flipped.

Thanks, grass....
That always gets me a chuckle. I think you might need a dual rotor chopper for that mission!

I missed this before. Have you paid attention to the database name?
