Congrats, Jeff. I will bring a big bag of peanuts to your session so your SSC fans can throw them at you if you mention Hamster Poo.I'm off to see Jimmy Buffett on the beach. Y'all have a great weekend.
Peanuts?
Pork Chops is more appropriate:-D
Heh.... I get to keep any that I catch. YUM!
And thank you everyone for the well wishes.

Ah.... just found another email from Elena... the Tally Table session in "Approved" and the Hierarchy session has been labeled as an "Alternate" in case someone has a problem and can't present. Looks like the SSC article is going to have to wait. πThat kinda sucks. I hope somebody cancels so the Hierarchy session can be presented.
I promise to publish it right after PASS if it's not called upon.

Here's hoping you get to present both, I'll bet they'll be great. I look forward to reading the Hierarchy article.

Hi folks, I posted a question regarding SQL 2008 Auditing and cycling through the audit logs. What I'd like to know, is there a good intro to Auditing in SQL 2008 available? I found this excellent article and this equally excellent pos[/url]t, but was wondering if there were any books or other online resources available? My kluge right now is to write jobs to create audits on the fly, based on date, and cycle all those older than X days, which seems okay enough, provided I can do an average sizing of the audit files.
Thanks.
Gaby,
Since you're talking 2008, have you considered Change Data Capture?

Congrats Jeff.
Do they have any kind of "you can't publish" thing on a presentation? I would doubt it, but you never know.

Thanks, Wayne. I've read so bloody many "agreements" in the last two weeks that I don't know for sure anymore. Thanks for the reminder and I'll check on it. I with you though... I believe my material remains as my material... I just can't use the PASS logo, etc.

She showed remarkable restraint against the vuvuzelas. I was checking the news every day expecting to read about carnage in the streets.
The day is still young. The restaurant downstairs is hosting a 'final party', from 6pm til late.
