I did leave out the pool. I was thinking that your feet were in the blue, plastic, 6" wading pool sitting in front of you. Or did you get the entire chair in the pool?
The balcony is too small for a pool big enough to handle the whole chair.
I considered building a plexiglass tank the size of the balcony but I was scared the balcony would not handle the weight. :w00t:

Sounds much like mine. I had an idea to hang a hammock on my balcony, until I realised it wasn't quite long enough to hang one properly.

Transparent Aluminum is pretty lightweight and if you reinforce the deck with a sheet of it, it would hold the weight.

Speaking of Hammocks, one of my vacations was visiting my in-laws in Venezuela. My son, now 13 but a toddler back then got the chicken pox. Since we didn't want to continue the spread of the pox the rest of that vacation was spent lazily in a hammock. Best vacation ever! (except for the chicken pox part.)

It's an older building and I'm scare the balcony would break away from the building and end up in the pool. Maybe I should go down to the pool instead. Time to start designing a fire pole to get me down there quickly.
Edit: Way too many typos this morning. Guess I should stick to coffee for morning drinks. 😛

I think I would have the same problem.

To all South Africans on the forum here, are you guys excited about next month or is everyone holding their breath?

I would think a slide might be better.
Easier to hold a beverage on the trip down...:w00t:

I'm considering finding a hole and pulling it in after me.
It's going to be shear, utter chaos. The road renovations are still in progress on some of the major highways, and still have long way to go. Many major and minor roads are developing potholes like it's going out of fashion (to give you an idea, I got new tyres for my car last week, and got insurance on those types, against damage caused by poor roads). We've got a strike on at the moment - trains. We've got multiple unions planning strikes during the world cup (because the world cup hasn't brought fortunes to their members).
I'm not a soccer fan, so I'm not going to be watching the games, in person or on TV.

Normally when driving along, if there's been a nasty accident I just drive past (as long as I can't do anything to help) - I don't 'rubberneck' and slow down to stare. But sometime, just sometimes, I just have to watch.
I think it's just turned into a multi-car pileup with a couple explosions.
I find it interesting to rubberneck in this scenario too 😉

Ouch!!
Thanks Gianluca. I particularly like how Paul handled this:
Paul White NZ (5/12/2010)
Joe Celko (5/12/2010)
Paul recognized that the problem is the DDL, but he still had his head stuck in proprietary, non-relational code. He did not go far enough. No, my intention was to show how it could be done with hierarchyid.
That is all.

I think Celko does nothing to be pleasant, but Peter's reply is terrific.
That is not uncommon. He carries his soapbox everywhere he goes.

That just created a worse image. Half naked guy sliding down a pole

Ouch...I hope S. Africa fares better than Montreal did after the winter Olympics in the 70's. They finally paid off the debt a few years ago. You should find a beach in a non-match city and relax for the entire time.

I know of a few of those cities and beaches...
Of course if you want something closer, Mauritius would be a great place to go!!
