A group interview could be fun. Round robin style, ask each other questions. I'd tape it, maybe cut down to some interesting answers for a podcast.Grant, you'd do fine with Gail, just talk really loud. You can drown out her corrections 😀
Oh, well, heck, I can do that.... uh, you have to promise not to let her hit me.
How fast can you run? 😀
If I was to be interviewed by you all, I would stand 25 meters away from you all so that I will have enough head start when Running....:hehe:
Make it a phone interview. No running required. 🙂

If it is Phone interview, I will make sure that after I attempt to answer the question, I will keep the Phone away from my ear so that the screaming wont break my ear drum... :hehe:

A good bullhorn and put you on the other side of the room, will that work?
No need for a bullhorn. I've been the CubMaster for 60+ cubs for four years. I can project like you wouldn't believe.

I'm assuming customs will prevent her from getting through with the sword or the bow and Seattle isn't exactly Dallas, so I think she'd have a hard time replacing them quickly. I'm mainly worried about the empty hands... although she might use the chair....

You have nothing to fear except fear itself.
Yea, right. In that company, my fear is that I would make a fool of myself answering a question I know the answer to, but giving the wrong answer. I call it braindeading a question. Heck, it happens when I take my recert classes as a soccer referee, or most recently, when I took the test to become an AYSO Referee Instructor. I braindeaded our catch-all yellow card, Unsporting Behaviour. I did remember dissent, but that is the one I have dealt with most the past season (coaches, players, parents). And, by the way, I was the only student out of the three in the class to pass it. Even argued a "wrong" answer into a "correct" answer. Now that was good!
Actually, has many have said before this, if you know the answer you give it and if you don't you admit it and then tell the interviewer(s) where you would go to find the answer (BOL, reference books, forums like SSC, etc). If you are honest, you have nothing to fear...

I have a crossbow, and I don't have to go through customs to get to Seattle....
Also, Seattle may not be Dallas, but bow hunting was a big deal in eastern Washington when I lived there. Lots of Bass Pro Shops all over the place with bows in various pulls, etc.

Sometimes running is the worst thing you can do. Granted, high school was eons ago, but I remember having snowball fights with my friends. If they stood still when I threw, I'd miss. If they even started to move in any direction I'd nail them every time.

Talking about interviewing, I would love to be in the same place at the same time as Jeff, Gail, Grant, Gus, Matt, and Jack and have a mock interview with all of them, with me as the interviewee. I know I'd come up short, but would definitely learn something from the experience.
It's an honor to be included in the list. It would definitely be fun. I actually think I would be more nervous in a mock interview with that group than in a real interview.
I'd better start studying some form of martial arts in order to prepare for the combat. I'd have to go to class 5 days a week in order to catch up (this might apply to SQL Server knowledge as well, especially internals).
You know this kind of discussion might apply to Andy Warren's blog series on networking and how to do it at an event like PASS (Networking Part 5), and the comments on it. Would some sort of Mock Interview work as a networking opportunity?

Shouldn't that be: What do you mean, interviewer? Cursor or triangular join?
LOLed nontheless!
Yeah, good catch. Need to figure out where to include the pork chop launcher... perhaps an assault on the SQL Castle in search of the perfect join... (wanders off muttering to self with visions of Monty Python and SQL code running rampart in the mind)
