Applying SP2 in Database Mirroring

    Hi All,

    I have database mirroring configured in my work environment on SQL Server 2008 with SP1 using high performance mode. I am planning to upgrade all my servers to SP2 in 2008. I am planning to apply SP2 on Mirror server and keep that for 2-4 weeks and then apply on Principal server.

    I am having doubt whether there will be any issues arising in 2-4 weeks in DB Mirroing configured ?

    Please advice...

    I think that's a reasonable approach. That's typically how we have done it in the past.

    What I was looking for is will there be any sync issues happening in as my mirror will be on SP2 for 2 -4 weeks while principal will be on SP1 ?

    Since you have done this did you face any issues as such ?

    Hi All,

    I did this test in my test server, like having sp4 on mirror for sql server 2005 and sp3 on sql 2005 for principal and then configured mirror. I was able to successfully configure db mirror and no issues happened as of now.
