Applying Hotfix MS09-004 to SQL Server 2000 MSDE

  I am tring to install SQL Server 2000 MSDE hotfix MS09-004 on a windows 2003 server. when I go through the setup, it is not detecting the installed edition on the server.

  It is currently on 2050 version and the WSUS instance. It has the only one database SUSDB which is around 500 MB.

  I am new to MSDE, is there any resolution for this.

  Please let me know ... Appreciate your help.

  Have you verified that you have the correct version of the patch? There are QFE and GDR versions of these

  I tried the hotfix from the below link.

  tried both GDR and QFE.

  Please let me know if this is right patch.
