AOAGs Join Only Option

    Quick one.

    When using the join only option whilst adding a Db to an AOAG. Is the db restored and left in WITH NORECOVERY when applying the last .trn file.
    Or do you recover the db first?

    Sorted. It's left in recovery mode as I thought.

    Before using the join only option, I think you need to restore from DB and log backup, and keep it with NORECOVERY. After that, DB will be in Synchronized/Synchronizing status.
