Hey all,
I've seen a lot of ads in the past week for a "SQL Server Magazine Connections" conference in late March. (http://www.devconnections.com)
I haven't attended any conferences on SQL before, so I don't have any basis to judge the quality of the conference. I'm curious if any of you have attended it before and if you thought it was worthwhile.
Thanks!

I've gone to the conference for the past 4 years and think it is very worthwhile. There are quite a few sessions to select from so you can pretty much attend whatever interests you. The speakers are very qualified and normally will answer any specific questions you may have after the session. The information you receive (conference materials, CD, lectures, etc.) is very useful and it definitely increases your knowlege of SQL Server. It's also great to network with other DBAs around the country.
I am looking forward to the one in March and wouldn't miss it.

The SQL Server Connections conference is well worth the trip. I went a year ago (December '05) to Vegas, which was the same week that SQL Server 2005 was released. Not sure about the Florida conference, but this one ran concurrently with ASP.NET and Visual Studio connections, both of which were good additions to the offerings. Another good trip is the PASS conference, which is only once a year - I think it's in Denver this time.

Thanks. Yeah, this one runs concurrently with a Visual Studio and ASP.Net conference. Also, thanks for the heads up on PASS.

The PASS Summit is in Denver and it's typcially been more SQL Server focused. It's a great place if you're a DBA and we've got a couple writeups coming from the guys that attended.
If you go to PASS in September, be sure you use the Source Code "SSC" and you'll get to come to a great SQLServerCEntral.com party.
