Any SQL gurus / n00bs that are closet musicians?

  • ...I LOVE the bass flute!:D

    e

  • Musician? Ummmm no.

I do have an acoustic which I am trying to learn...but its just a whole load of noise at present. I'm thinking electric just to be even noisier πŸ™‚

  • Pianio and trumpet really well, guitar so-so.

  • I play lead guitar in a local SF blues band. Just came out with our first CD. Great diversion to wash away a work week filled with replacing inherited RBAR and other cheese! πŸ˜€

  • Pretty good Bob, I wonder if you can make the podcast:D

  • I am attempting to learn to play the accoustic guitar. Started a while ago but some other things took me off track for a while. Getting back now and hope to continue. I have always enjoyed music but enjoy it much more now over the last ten years.

  • I wouldn't call myself a "SQL Guru" - after 14 years I am finding out everyday how much I DON'T know!

My minor in college was music - I play Bass Trombone, Euphonium and Piano. I almost became a Music Educator like my brother.

I play classical but love to work to classic rock..

    :w00t:

  • I've played guitar for about 10 years, loved playing blues, classic rock, classical, shred. I used to concentrate on my chops and improv and learning Steve Vai tunes.

I'm also into House music and have released a tune called The Fiend .

I've DJ'd in a few big clubs in London - Ministry of Sound, Pacha, Egg.

At the moment, I'm just very casually doing music production as a hobby, but at the moment only really for myself and I might hand it to friends to play out once in a while.

  • Cant beleive this thread is still active! Think it started up this time last year! My guitars are lonely at my mums place as the wife wont allow them in our house. 120w amp, cant imagine why. πŸ˜‰

  • Mmm, 120W. Can't even begin to image why she won't let you bring them home.

My sob story is that I have just been told that 7 guitars is enough - just bought a fantastic Maton MS500 50th Anniversary guitar. It is a fantastic guitar - feels great and is inspiring greater things from me.

If I want any more, I need to sell one. Not fair but I do have a Squire Strat and Epiphone Dot that may end up with another owner.

Have any ESP's or Jackson's? I have an ESP EXP and even though its been pretty much ignored for 4-5 years i would still never let it go. Hand wired pickups mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Used to be friends with the cradle and john the lead guitarist let me play his Jackson, I said it was slow and hard to play, he said i was a rookie (true enough) then i played the same riff with the EXP and let him have ago. The whole band changed to ESP even though it meant dumping Jackson as a sponsor. Not a clue what the play now though.
