probably not - unless you listen to industrial techno? π the name i'm under is distatix, the best place to hear it is prolly here: . It's all hard dirty electronic music which i actually think fits in really well with my job - i spent years as a dba managing mult-terrabite databases, went into development and now i'm a technical director for a online marketing company - in other words all technology based π

I've been noodling around with music since age 8. I consider music to be my only 'formal education'.
I've done most woodwinds, but the only instrument I continue to play is piano.

Probably won't make the podcast, at least as long as I'm editing. Maybe if the kids decided to "help" out, they'll slip it in.

I played flute, piccolo, trumpet, and french horn in high school and then it was my military duty at The Citadel (Regimental Band and Pipes). I've stayed somewhat active on flute and piccolo, sometimes playing as a soloist or accompanying a choir in church.

I am singing in the bathroom if that counts π
Besides that had some years of Classical Guitar training and still have a Virus at home http://www.access-music.de/products.php4?product=virusclassic. But haven't had much time to use it recently. And when I used it it was more or less experimental.

I am a harpsichordist and baroque cellist.
The tale of how I ended up a .Net / SQL Server developer from a degree in music is a long and boring one, involving a protracted diversion into FX Options trading.
I know of no other harpsichordists who make their living as a code monkey, although of course to actually claim to be the only one would be presumptious.
Best

Play clarinet, tenor sax, bass clarinet...and sing in a 100-member classical music chorus acommpanied by local symphony.
Tried to learn guitar twice...not much luck (you know how it goes - you're 16, learn guitar, get in a band, meet chicks kinda thing)

I play flute (C, piccolo, and bass), piano, and violin.
