Hi,
I am just starting to get familiar with SQL Server (2005) and T-SQL, and was wondering, if anyone could recommend some resources ("quick-start" materials, tutorials, books ,intro articles) online useful to a beginner.
I have never worked with SQL Server before, and don't have DBA background. However, I have quite a bit of experience with designing Access databases, feel comfortable with VBA and some very basic SQL.
I will appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance,
MCY

Just remember that Books Online (BOL), the doucmentation installed with SQL Server, is your best friend in the world. Don't be a afraid to open it up and read up on topics there first.
Database Journal has several series of articles that cover topics in some depth. That might be a good place to go online.
BTW, there are several introductory books available over at the PASS Book Review SIG. You can have them for free if you just write up a review.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll check them out. I had also ordered some books on Amazon (still waiting for them), but wanted to already start on something.
thx 😉
