Anyone know how I can store a tif or gif image easily without converting it?

You mean in a db? I suppose you could save it in a record as a varbinary... Maybe I don't fully understand the circumstance?

You can use TEXTCOPY utility to do it. It should be in the folder
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Binn

why don't you store its path only (nvarchar) and then appear that image found in that path later.
