I am getting error messages of ‘user do not have permission to access the cube’ in SQL profile.
We use windows authentication to connect to cubes. All the cube roles are linked with Active Directory. If I add individual user from active directory as a member to the cube roles, it takes effect immediately.
However, if I try to add a user to a group in active directory then add this group as the member in the cube role, sometimes it takes effect up to a day.
Then, some user tries to access the cube and get error message of not having permissions but actually all the security settings have been done correctly.
I was told by other people that active directory refresh itself every 20 munities. Anyone experienced this before?
Anyone know Analysis services communicate with active directory?

I am also experiencing this issue but the other way around. When users are removed from an AD group they continue to have permissions. Anyone know what is going on? I haven't run into this problem with the database engine.
