Hello,
I am going to include AS 2008 on one of my clustered instances that is going to get installed, I was wondering if there was any good tips regarding this. Should I install it in its own group/disk/IP or is it ok to install it in the group along with the SQL instance?
As usual, any advice is valued.
Regards,
Paul.

You can install it either as part of the database instance or as a new analysis services instance.
I'm not sure that there are any differences other than having the ability to run them on separate nodes if they are separate instances which could improve performance. Also it may improve availability as failure in one of the instances shouldn't affect the other instance.

Be aware that if you have it as a separate install in its own resource group and there is a chance those groups could be active on different nodes then you will have to have licenses to cover both nodes.

Something I found out a couple of years ago to remember, additional features cannot be added once you've set up a cluster. I've always found it prudent to install all features and disable the services if they arent intended to be used. Just in case....
