as alwayson doesn't support cross database transactions and cross server transactions based on the below link. I am trying to understand what would be affect of this in a high transactional environment. I am trying to find an example which clearly explains the scenarios. Can someone help me out understand the affects if we go for cross db transactions?

Always ON doesn't support Cross DB Transactions and Distributed Transactions. So why would you use that and also concerned about highly transactional environment ? You should be worried only if you have Cross DB Transactions and Distributed Transactions.
