Hello Everyone,
I have a Production Database that is in the AlwaysON Group. The transaction log has grown out of control and filling up the drive.
Here is my setup:
Full Backup Every night (Secondary replica)
Log backups every hour (Secondary replica)
Backup Preferences (Prefer Secondary)
SQL 2014
I have been doing the log backups for months and the log was manageable, there was a huge increase in size and now I need to shrink the logs and reduce the size.
I know it is not best practice to shrink but right now it is eating up space. I need to know a safe way to reduce the size and shrink the logs. I do not wish to remove it from the AG group if possible.
Please help.

Same way you shrink any other database. DBCC ShrinkFile ('File name', Target Size)

It is safe to do, no concerns on that front.
