Hello,
I have a simple question in regards to Always on Availability group I have 2 questions and best explained in a scenario:
Question 1:
I have 2 servers, Server A and Server B, Server A primary, Server B secondary,
Can Server A have a database name different than Server be, of course they are the same database, but just different name, example:
Server A Server B
DB_Stuff -----> DB_Secondary_Stuff
Will that be ok? or do they have to be the same name?
Question 2:
I have 1 server, Server A, can it have a AG group but point to itself, example:
Server A Server A
DB_Stuff -----> DB_Secondary_Stuff
will this be ok? i know, you are asking why? just wondering, if it can point to itself as a secondary?
thanks in advance everyone 🙂
