ALTER TRACE permission

    Can I grant ALTER TRACE permission to a user on a single database?

    As these are at the instance level, I doubt it.

    I quick review of the Books Online indicates NO. It is an instance level permission. And the CONTROL SERVER permission is implied by granting it. I could find no database level equivalent (I didn't think there was one but I looked anyway).
