All reports are now XML

    Hi everyone

    I just created around ten reports in SSRS and inked them all to a dashboard. Visual Studio encountered an error and closed. When i tried reopening the project the reports had vanished but they are still saved as Report Definition files in the file directory. However when i try opening the reports they appear as XML.

    Anyone know why this may have happened and more importantly can i get the reports back to the state they were in previously so that i can run them?

    It seems i have to Save As the reports as rdl and they will return to the original format. Still have no idea why it happened but at least i can resolve the issue without creating all the reports again...
