Alerts and default font

  • I have not been receiving e-mail alerts in the last few days.

Also, when I type a post, it looks like the default font has changed to Courier 9pt or similar ... even though the published post renders as usual.

  • I assumed that the reason for the look was because a recent power cut borked out Firewall/Router at the office, and I get loads of HSTS and self signed certificates errors for certain websites (this site included) and it was defaulting to the old editor. I hadn't noticed the emails until you mentioned it though.

I did wonder if it was due to the release of WP 6.0.0 and SSC had upgraded to that, but they're still running 5.9.3. /shrug

  • Looks like they fixed the posting problem this morning (fonts, icon menu bar) but they still have problems with email notifications.  I only get notifications for people that I follow.

We've been through all of this before.  Here we go again! 🙁

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.
