  I am trying to set up an alert for Failed Login. One already exists but it does not provide (or allows to capture) the hostname. Is there a way to do so?

  the current alert syntax is:

  Login failed for user '%ls'.

  I don't think that you can do this. You can run Profiler and capture only the failed logins. I think that will get the hostname in it if submitted.
