I have SQL Server 2005 and BIDS installed. I am running IIS. I would like to get Adventure works set up but can't imagine why I am having such difficulties with directions like this...
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms403391(SQL.90).aspx
From Link Above...
"To Deploy the Adventure Works DW Analysis Services Project
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.Make sure that the AdventureWorksDW and Adventure Works DW databases have been installed.
2.Make sure Analysis Services has been installed."
I was able to "Make sure AWdw was installed" since it wasn't ATTACHED I went to object explorer and attached it. Good.
Now #2. I have no idea what "make sure AS has been installed means.
I have a folder called AS located in this directory C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Tools\Samples. Does that mean its "installed"? Or do I need to start some sort of AS service or attach something within SSMS?

I went to control panel >> add/remove >> SQL components and verified that AS is already on the disk. Now whether I need to doing anything further is my question.

Now I maybe off track here but I went to
Start >> Programs >> SS2005 >> AS >> Deployment Wizard
Deployment Wizard is asking me to specify the path to the AS database file that I want to deploy.
Interestingly enough I see Adventure Works DB.database (Analysis Services database) in..
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Tools\Samples\AdventureWorks Analysis Services Project\Enterprise
BUT.. the Deployment wizard doesn't see this .database file b/c it's looking for a .asdatabase file extension.
Am I on the wrong track?

BIDS Opened project Adventure works DW.
Went to deploy/process and recieved 1 Error related to feature availibility and config. The Perspectives feature is not included in the SE sku.
Then..
Adventure works DW not found.
IN SSMS I see AVdw database listed on my localhost group of db's. Ideas?
