I have a cluster with 2 virtual servers for SQL and want to add them to the active directory. Has anyone done this? Does anyone know of any issues with adding virtual servers to an Active Directory?

I'm sure the entry for the cluster gets added in the Active Directory on its own when you create a cluster but not sure for SQL Server. I'll check it out and let you know.

Bill,
During install of SQL Server, the virtual name of sql server does get added to Active Directory. Not sure whether this did answer your question or not and if not can you be more specific what you would like to do.

Our virtual servers DID NOT get added to the Active Directory. So, my sys admin and I are looking at adding them and wanted to know if anyone experienced any issues with doing so.

Not tried that. But don't think it should be an issue. I have deleted entries from active directory when i was building a cluster and had to rebuild the cluster and that worked fine.
