Adding AO to existing 2 Node Cluster

    Hi Experts,

    We are planning to add AO node to an existing 2 node cluster.  What all things I need to check since we are adding to an existing cluster.

    1. Do I need to do a cluster validation after adding the new Node?
    2. Do I need to uncheck 'Register this connection's address in DNS ' and 'Disbale NetBios over TCP' option in IPv4 Properties

    We are basically adding this node to avoid whole cluster validation so that we can do validation once we failover the SQL to AG. If we need to do a full cluster validation(downtime) after adding this new Node then its not worth going for this.

    Appreciate experts comments.

    Added a new node and did cluster validation without choosing the storage part.

    Still i have doubt about the IPv4 Properties which was mentioned in Perry's stairways to AO.
