  I'm using SSIS 2005. I have an existing package that is 'EncryptSensitiveWithPassword'. I'd like to add a copy of that package to a new solution for use as the basis for a new process.

  When I add the existing package, it doesn't ask me for the package password. The XML remains encrypted.

  Is there any way I can unencrypt the newly added package?

  Figured it out. I needed to change the protection level back to 'EncryptSensitiveWithUserKey' for the added package. That change unencrypted the XML. Surprisingly, it didn't ask for a password.
