Add article to existing trans replication

  Hi,

  I'm trying to add a new table to an existing replication, tried opening up the list of articles in Management Studio and ticking the missing ones, press OK and then it just hangs and causes loads of timeouts, and using add_article SP and does the same?

  It'll be adding a hidden column needed for replication to the tables, you'll need to do it when the database is not under heavy load.

  Do you use snapshots within this Publication?

  If you script the current Publication is '@immediate_sync' set to true or false?

  It might be the snapshot either refreshing or being created from new for this table.

  Is this a large table on the Publisher?
